TAFMF is dedicated to celebrating African culture and history. TAFMF showcases the works of filmmakers and musicians from over 50 countries, in Africa, with the emphasis on film and music produced within the African continent.

Mission Statement

• This is a premier festival dedicated to celebrating African culture and history
• It is a vehicle which will enrich the people of Toronto, the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and North America
• It is a platform from which African filmmakers and musicians will have visibility and acknowledgement.

Canada boasts having the most diverse culture of any country in the World. Within the GTA the large African population hails from all parts of the African continent.
